Siemens USA CEO joins Biden Administration, bipartisan Congressional delegation, and business leaders for Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal signing
Washington, DC | November 15, 2021
Today, Siemens USA President and CEO Barbara Humpton is traveling to the White House to mark the signing of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, a bill that sets the stage for decarbonizing the economy, boosting U.S. manufacturing, creating jobs and increasing equity.
“It’s a wonderful day to be at the White House and an honor to represent Siemens to mark this historic moment for U.S. infrastructure, one that provides us with an opportunity to ignite American innovation that will ultimately shape a more resilient, sustainable and equitable future,” said Humpton. “I’d like to congratulate the Biden-Harris Administration and the bipartisan effort in Congress, with hard work from both sides of the aisle, to get us to where we are today. Siemens has been a national asset supporting American industry and infrastructure for more than 160 years, and we’re eager to continue our work by ramping up our own capabilities to support this transformation.”
Siemens and its 40,000 U.S. employees across hundreds of locations and 26 manufacturing sites have long been supporting the critical infrastructure and industries that form the backbone of America’s economy, developing and deploying technologies for more than 100 cities, 35 of the nation’s transit agencies, including Amtrak, and 90 percent of Fortune 500 industrial companies. Siemens looks forward to providing technologies to support the broad vision for infrastructure outlined in the bill including open standard electric vehicle (EV) chargers for a national EV charging network, solutions to modernize and decarbonize buildings and airports, digital tools to fortify the nation’s power grid, and building cleaner and more comfortable trains for America’s rail lines.
