Siemens Welcomes Stone Technologies as a Certified Solution Partner

Harleysville, PA and St. Louis, MO – September 17th, 2021

Siemens has welcomed Stone Technologies as the newest certified Solution Partner for Process Automation and Factory Automation. This designation formalizes a longstanding and productive technology partnership between Siemens and Stone, a national systems integrator with offices in 28 states.

To become certified as a Siemens Solution Partner, a company must prove their expertise by developing customized, future-oriented solutions in accordance with strict global standards based on the Siemens product portfolios for Process and Factory Automation. Certification must be renewed at regular intervals, with Partner expertise being checked and tailored to stay current with rapid technological progress.

Stone Technologies and Gray Solutions merged in February 2021 and have more than 200 employees in 28 states, with hubs in St. Louis, MO; Lexington, KY; Anaheim, CA; and Charlotte, NC. The merger brings together two successful firms and expands their geographical footprints and technology delivery capabilities through Business Process Consulting, Process Integration, Advanced Automation, Process Controls Automation, Digital Transformation, and IT/OT Design. “Stone is thrilled to have become part of a growing organization that allows us not only to advance the digital solution we can offer customers, but also to offer further growth opportunities for our team members,” said Eric Schaefer, President of Stone Technologies/Gray Solutions. “The merger is truly a win-win from every angle and secures our future as a premier integrator for our team and customers.”

“We are customer- and relationship-driven, delivering outcome-based solutions through deep collaboration and lasting partnerships. The collaboration with Siemens will further enable Stone Technologies to continue building upon the company’s goal of delivering more complete and robust digital offerings to our customers, while utilizing industry-leading technologies, across both the Process Automation and Factory Automation spaces,” said Fred Husman, Principal Engineer at Stone. “Delivering solutions in both Process Automation (SIMATIC PCS 7) and Factory Automation (TIA Portal) enables our team of skilled professionals to meet our customers’ strategic initiatives and project goals.”

As a Solution Partner, Stone will receive continuing education from Siemens in the latest technologies and industry best practices, tailored to the company’s individual needs and delivered in a variety of formats. Stone will also be granted software licensing and priority hotline support, complemented by access to advanced proposal tools.

“I have had the pleasure of working with top-notch process automation engineers at Stone Technologies for more than two decades and know that their experience, capabilities, and customer focus have consistently resulted in successful outcomes,” said Rich Chmielewski, Business Development and Solution Partner Manager for Siemens Process Automation. “I am happy to be able to formalize our relationship, which will provide Stone with greater access to the tools, training, and support for maximum efficiency in executing Siemens DCS projects.”

Stone has extensive experience with Siemens automation technology across the food and beverage, chemical, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries. The company recently integrated SIMATIC PCS 7 Batch and Route Control as well as the SIMIT Simulation Platform into distillery, edible oil, and motor oil blending applications; they also specialize in automating breweries utilizing the BRAUMAT library, SCALANCE wired and wireless networks, and SINAMICS variable frequency drives.

“Stone Technologies brings a unique blend of experience and know-how in both the process and discrete industries to the Siemens Solution Partner ecosystem,” said Ben Green, National Siemens Solution Partner Program Manager. “We are excited to welcome Stone to our team of trusted partners, and we look forward to working together to exceed customer expectations and grow our business together.”
