With network charges predicted to grow continuously, a battery manufacturing company was looking for a new way to reduce energy costs. Implementation of a comprehensive peak load system helped reduce energy costs and find new use cases for the own product portfolio. The whole project was implemented within only five months.
Battery storage with a capacity of 1,500 kW/h, two gas engines with 1,500 kW electrical power, medium-voltage switchboards and transformers are controlled via the Desigo CC building management system. The company’s own batteries were used for storage and integrated via Siemens inverters.

Siemens delivered a turn-key power house consisting of two cogeneration units, provides operational management and support with emissions trading and ISO 500001 certification.
