SCOUT includes all devices from the controller to the drives. In addition to common data management, the platform offers integrated library and comparison functions and provides you with convenient access to all editors via the project navigator.
Parametrization and configuration
SCOUT lets you configure axes and drives and create and optimize cam disks. For configuration, all technological objects (axes, cams, cam disks, etc.) are organized in a clear tree structure. Filters allow you to display user programs as needed. With the easy-to-use SIZER software, you can configure drives, motors, and even suitable cables.
Testing and commissioning
All values relevant for testing are recorded in real time. A Motion Control Chart (MCC) enables process monitoring via flow charts and provides information on program and variable status.
You can commission drives and optimize controllers directly from SCOUT, using straightforward watch tables for value monitoring.

Graphic configuring with Drive Control Chart (DCC)
The additionally available Drive Control Chart (DCC) option package permits convenient graphic configuring in SCOUT, with no programming knowledge required. In addition, device functionality can be extended by means of freely available control, calculation, and logic blocks.
Graphic creation and optimization of cam disks
You can use the CamTool graphic extension package to create and optimize cam disks. CamTool supplements the CamEdit cam disk editor that is already included in SCOUT.
The curve is displayed in an x-y diagram with fixed points, lines, and interpolation points in accordance with VDI 2143. CamTool then uses these elements to automatically create a homogeneous, continuous curve that can then be optimized using the mouse.

Fast and convenient controller dimensioning with SIZERThe SIZER configuration tool greatly simplifies the configuration for low voltage drive systems.
Based on your application, this tool provides step-by-step support in defining the mechanical system and dimensioning converters, motors and gearboxes as well as controllers.
