Siemens no-charge code conversion service helps to protect your assets while upgrading you to the state-of-the-art TIA Portal that retains your current structures and naming conventions, allowing for familiarity from the start. This will allow you to meet the challenges of future automation architectures.
This service converts your legacy controller and/or HMI Panel code to:
- SIMATIC Advanced S7-1500 controller
- SIMATIC HMI Comfort Panel (select from 4, 7, 9, 12, 15, 19, or 22" widescreen display)
Your Siemens Account Manager will manage this process for you and deliver your new, advanced, modernized code.
In the event that code optimization/data “clean-up” is desired, a Certified Siemens Solution Partner is ready to assist.

How do I get started?
Please contact your Siemens Account Manager to discuss your project. They will submit a code conversion request on your behalf and manage this process for you. At a minimum, here is what they will need from you:
Your controller code file in the format as specified in the instructions below
Instructions for exporting from RSLogix 5 - used for configuring PLC5 controllers
Instructions for exporting from RSLogix 500 - used for configuring SLC controllers
Instructions for exporting from RSLogix 5000 - used for configuring controllersYour HMI Panel code file - FT View Studio ME archive project file in at least v.6.10 or higher
