For clean, mean machines
Designed for the clean condition requirements of the food, beverage, sterile packaging, pharmaceutical and other process industries, SIMOTICS S-1FS2 servomotors are offered in a variety of power ratings, from 0.60–2.68 Hp (0.45–2kW) with torque from 2.28–10.32 ft-lbs (3.1–14 Nm). Crafted with housings of 1.4404 (AISI 316/316L) stainless steel, EPDM seals and bearing grease with NSF H1 approval, these new servomotors are highly resistant to corrosion and acidic chemicals found in the process industries. This extremely high degree of protection is in accordance with IP66/67 standards on the entire motor, with IP69k (30bar) protection provided on the motor housing.
Added features include high dynamics due to low inherent inertia plus high overload capacity for use in pick-and-place applications, in addition to precise movement of heavy loads. One-Cable Connection is provided for easy installation and cleaning. The standard absolute encoder is 22-bit multi-turn.
The SIMOTICS S-1FS2 family of motors is suitable for clean-in-place (CIP) processes and for use with all commercially available cleaning agents used with washdown motors.

Featuring both natural and forced-ventilation cooling, and a rugged, maintenance-free design, the 1FK7 synchronous servo motor is ideal for motion control applications where a final position must be reached very quickly with ultimate precision. High Dynamic models have the ability to speed up and slow down very quickly. With high torques of up to 108 Newton meters and a particularly favorable torque-inertia ratio, the 1FK7 motor achieves a very high dynamic response, which means shortened cycles and less wear on the motor, resulting in decreased machine downtime. Servo motors 1FK7 are available in IP ratings 64 to 67 with a high overload capability (up to 3 times rated torque) and rotatable connectors.

The SIMOTICS S-1FT7 servomotors are permanent magnet synchronous motors with highly compact dimensions for meeting the most stringent demands on precision, dynamics and speed setting range as well as on high degrees of protection and ruggedness. The motors are fitted with the latest encoder technology and are optimized for operation with Siemens fully digital drive and control systems. Three cooling types are available: natural, forced-ventilation or water-cooling. In the case of natural cooling, the developing thermal loss is drawn off via the surface area whereas an attached fan forces thermal loss away with forced vent cooling. Maximum cooling, and therefore, maximum performance, can be achieved with water-cooling.

1PH8 synchronous servo motors excel in demanding, high-power applications
The high-power density of SIMOTICS S-1PH8 allows a small footprint and supplies high torque at medium rotor inertia. The synchronous servo design generates 30 to 40 percent more torque and power than its already compact 1PH8 induction cousin, which is about 30% smaller than standard NEMA or IEC induction motors.
The servo design of the 1PH8 has the same outer dimensions as the induction design allowing simple future upgrades. Servo motors 1PH8 are available in IP rating 55 and 65 with a high overload capability (up to 3 times rated torque) and rotatable connectors or terminal boxes.

The advantage concept of SIMOTICS S-1FG1 servo geared motors is simple: offer the most variable configuration options that can be used to create customized solutions — both in terms of construction and power rating. Whatever your application requires – high efficiencies, low torsional backlash or finely graduated ratios, these motors optimally address the widest range of motion control applications.
The SIMOTICS S-1FG1 servo gear motors have smaller dimensions, weigh less and have a higher dynamic response than standard induction geared motors. The range of types includes helical, parallel shaft, bevel and helical worm geared motors in the usual frame sizes and speed/torque classes. SIMOTICS S-1FG1 servo geared motors also use the same operating heads as SIMOGEAR geared motors.

High-end gearboxes for maximum machining quality requirements, planetary gearboxes are extremely compact and have a high efficiency of up to 97 %. Thanks to minimal torsional backlash of ≤ 4 up to ≤ 12 arcmin, the gearboxes are designed for cycle operation for high-precision positioning and machining tasks.
