Siemens current generation of lighting panel products represent the highest level of engineering innovation and features
Siemens family of lighting panelboards have always been rugged and durable. With new innovative features and Breaker types being introduced, the P1-P2-P3 family of factory assembled lighting panels are even more flexible and easier to install. These newer designs also simplify wiring and reduce material requirements, saving additional installation time. Siemens also offers P1 unassembled lighting panels (UPB program), through our authorized distributors, which are designed to meet shorter lead time requirements, provide product flexibility and affordable pricing.
Features & Benefits:
- P1 lighting panels are available in 250A and 400A max. configurations. Factory assembled and unassembled panels are available.
- P1 features field installable kits for changing main space and subfeed space in the field. Surge protection is also available in subfeed space.
- P1 branch breakers are available from 15A to 125A max., only BL/BQD type or GB type of breakers can be used in branch space. These two types cannot be mixed in the same panel.
- P2/P3 lighting panels are available in up to 600A main breaker and 800A main lug only configurations. These are factory assembled only and have limited field flexibility for main and subfeed space, but they have a much more flexible in unit space than P1 with a large range of Branch breaker types from 15A to 250A, with field installable kits available.
- Coordination panels are available for those that need a fusible solution.
- Column panels are also available for narrow width requirements.
- P1 lighting panels are available in 250A and 400A max. configurations. Factory assembled and unassembled panels are available.
- P1 factory assembled lighting panels are available in the following configurations:
- 250A circuits: 18, 30, 42, 54, 66 , CU or AL bus
- both with and without subfeed space (FT vs. NFT)
- 400A circuits: 30, 42, 54, 66 , CU or AL bus
- both with and without subfeed space up to 54 circuits.
- 66 circuit only available without subfeed space (NFT)
- 400A subfeed space is same as 250A; maximum subfeed breaker size is 250A.
- P1 features field installable kits for changing main space and subfeed space in the field. The same kits can be used for MB (main breaker) or sub-feed breakers up to 250A. MLO (main lug only) kits can be used for feed-thru applications as well.
- Surge protection is also available in subfeed space.
- P1 Branch breakers are available from 15A to 125A max., only BL/BQD type or GB type of breakers can be used in branch space. These two types cannot be mixed in the same panel.
- Branch circuit space is not changeable in the field – see P2/P3 product if more than 125A branches are needed, or if more breaker types are needed for branch space.
The Siemens P1 UPB program (Unassembled Panelboard Program) is for Authorized Siemens UPB distributors only.
- P1 UPB lighting panels are available in 250A and 400A max. configurations.
- P1 UPB panels have all the same field installable kits available as for factory assembled but are limited in circuits and only available for the most popular system voltages.
- P1 250A UPB circuits: 18, 30, 42 and 54 only. (no 66 cir.)
- P1 400A UPB circuits: 30, 42 and 54 only. (no 66 cir.)
- All UPB Panels include subfeed space (all are FT, no NFT)
- Limited system voltages available:
a) X = 208Y/120, 3-phase 4-wire (BL/BQD type breakers only)
b) A = 120/240V, 1-phase 3-wire (BL/BQD type breakers only)
c) E = 480Y/277V, 3-phase 4-wire (BL/BQD type breakers only)
d) 7 = 480Y/277V, 3-phase 4-wire (xGB type breakers only)
>> BL/BQD type or GB type of breakers cannot be mixed in the same panel.
- BL/BQD branch breakers are available from 15A to 100A
- xGB branch breakers are available from 15A to 125A
- SPD devices can be ordered for field installation in subfeed space.
- P2/P3 lighting panels are available in up to 600A main breaker and 800A main lug only configurations. These are factory assembled only and have limited field flexibility for main and subfeed space, but they have a much more flexible unit space than P1 with a large range of branch breaker types from 15A to 250A and field installable kits available.
- Main and subfeed space are configured for factory assembly and cannot be changed in the field. (Breakers can be changed to the max. amps in the frame type in the field, but no changes to breaker type are allowed.
- Branch breakers can be changed in the field and field installable kits are available to change or add where space permits any type of branch breaker that is suitable for the system voltage marked on the panel.
- P1 and P2 share common enclosures and fronts, so interiors can be changed in the field as long as same size enclosure is required. (typically 20”W x 5.75”D)
- P3 uses a larger enclosure (24”W x 7.75”D) to handle larger breakers and more current.
