Donation to aid victims of historic floods in central Vietnam

Overview

In response to the call for "Supporting the people of the Central Vietnam", the employees of 3 companies Siemens, Siemens Energy and Siemens Healthineers contributed in cash to share loss as well as damage with them. The contribution was used to buy 4 water purifiers for 4 schools in Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province.

On 01 December 2020, representatives from 3 companies Siemens, Siemens Energy and Siemens Healthineers were in Tuyen Hoa district to donate 4 water purifiers with the capacity of 100 liters / hour to 4 schools: Tien Hoa commune kindergarten, Mai Hoa commune kindergarten, Chau Hoa commune primary school and Van Hoa commune secondary school. The water source in Tuyen Hoa region is heavily contaminated with lime, hence it cannot be used for cooking due to the very high calcium content. With the capacity of these water purifiers, it not only provides pure water for the students but also supports nearby schools located inside the highway, where the installation is not possible.

Representatives of the Education Department of Tuyen Hoa district and all teachers, principals and students of 4 schools were very happy and grateful for the support of all employees of 3 companies. This was a practical and meaningful activity to help the students improving living and learning conditions.
